Experience beyond books
I admit, the practice of law was not my first profession.
In fact, I was originally educated as a mechanical engineer, and I gained my initial engineering experience working in a start-up company where I had the opportunity to take part in more than engineering design; I had my first experience of working with a small group of entrepreneurs doing whatever it took to get this fledgling business off and running.
This experience was followed up by several years of international work in private, government, international organizations, and non-governmental sectors. I have a diverse and extensive experience with international project management, intellectual property, information technology, clean energy technology, construction contracting, and the import/export business.
My knowledge extends beyond the books, outside the box, and comes from practical experience of working in the trades. My understanding of what it is like to be starting, operating, and growing a small to mid-sized business did not come from reading books; it came from doing it.
Let me know how I may assist you with contracting, business organizations, construction law, or other issues so that you can
refocus where it counts most... on your business.
